Member Experience Coordinator
Own the first ninety seconds. Screening, reception, bookings, mail forwarding and the hundred small things that decide whether a visit feels organised or chaotic.
About the role
Every builder's relationship with SFbei starts with you: the screening application, the welcome at the desk, and knowing who they are the second time they walk in.
It is a front-of-house role with a real operational spine behind it — you will also run the mail-forwarding service that a lot of our overseas exhibitors quietly depend on.
What you'll do
- Process builder pre-registrations and run the screening queue.
- Staff reception: welcome visitors, understand why they came, route them to the right floor.
- Manage meeting-room and call-booth bookings, and demo-bay scheduling.
- Run supplier mail forwarding: receive, log and dispatch packages and documents.
- Keep the directory board and printed materials current.
- Support events — registration, setup, and making sure the right people meet.
What we're looking for
- You have worked front-of-house somewhere with standards — a members' club, a good hotel, a busy studio, a co-working space or a gallery.
- You are organised in a way that survives four things happening at once.
- You are genuinely warm with people, including people who are stressed or in a hurry.
- Comfortable with the tools: a CRM, a booking system, a shipping account.
- On-site five days a week, with occasional event evenings.
Nice to have
- Interest in hardware, making or design.
- A second language.
- You have opened a new venue before.
Compensation
$72,000 – $92,000. The range is real and we will pay within it based on what you bring, not on what you earned before. Early hires also receive equity, explained with the maths shown. Medical, dental and vision are covered for you and your dependants.
The honest caveats
The building opens in 2027. Until then this job involves more planning, recruiting and spreadsheet work than floor work, and the floor work is the fun part. We are a small team, so job descriptions are indicative rather than exhaustive. And it is genuinely on-site — if you need remote flexibility, this role will make you unhappy.
How to apply
Use the form below. A CV or LinkedIn and a few specific lines about why this role. No cover letter theatre, no take-home exercise.
Equal opportunity
We hire on what you can do. We do not discriminate on race, colour, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, age or veteran status, and we will make reasonable adjustments to the process — just tell us what you need.

Fill the floor. You find the manufacturers worth putting on our shelves, convince them a US shopfront is worth having, and get them signed.

Be the person on the floor who actually knows. Engineers describe a problem; you walk them to the three suppliers who can solve it and make the introduction.
