We are hiring the people who will run the place.
Four roles, all on-site in San Francisco, all reporting into a building that opens in 2027. If you want a job where the result of your work is a physical room full of people, this is one.
A small team
and one building.
SFbei is an operating business, not a software company with a lobby. The work is physical, local and immediate: a supplier signs, a display gets built, an engineer finds the part, an event fills the roof deck. You will see the result of your week by walking downstairs.
We are early. The first cohort of hires will set how the place runs — the standards at reception, what a good introduction sounds like, how we decide an aisle is full. That is the opportunity and it is also the warning: if you want a defined role in a mature org, this isn't it yet.

The terms, stated plainly.
Published salary bands
Every listing carries its range. We do not negotiate people down for being polite about it.
Equity for early hires
Meaningful for the first cohort, explained clearly, with the maths shown rather than implied.
Real health cover
Medical, dental and vision for you and dependants, paid by us.
Time off you're expected to take
Twenty days plus public holidays, plus the week between Christmas and New Year when the building is shut.
Travel that isn't a chore
Commercial roles travel to Asia and Europe; we book proper flights and give you a day either side.
A building, not a Zoom grid
Everyone is on-site. That is a genuine constraint on who this suits, and we would rather say so up front.
4 roles open now.
All on-site at 1070 Bryant Street. Salary ranges are published on every listing because withholding them wastes everybody's time.
Showroom Director
Run the building. You own the floor, the team, the exhibitor relationships and the commercial result — the person who decides what SFbei feels like to walk into.
Read the role →Supplier Partnerships Manager
Fill the floor. You find the manufacturers worth putting on our shelves, convince them a US shopfront is worth having, and get them signed.
Read the role →Technical Floor Lead
Be the person on the floor who actually knows. Engineers describe a problem; you walk them to the three suppliers who can solve it and make the introduction.
Read the role →Member Experience Coordinator
Own the first ninety seconds. Screening, reception, bookings, mail forwarding and the hundred small things that decide whether a visit feels organised or chaotic.
Read the role →Four steps. No take-home essay.
Apply
The form on each role. A CV or LinkedIn, and a few honest lines about why this one.
Call
Thirty minutes with the hiring manager. Mutual: you should be interviewing us too.
On-site
Two or three conversations at 1070 Bryant, including a walk of the floor plan.
Decision
A yes or a no with reasons, plus a written offer. We do not exploding-offer people.
We aim to get from application to decision inside three weeks. If we go quiet on you for longer than a week, chase us — it means something went wrong on our side, not yours.
None of these
quite you?
We will need floor staff, events people, a finance and operations hire, and eventually a second technical lead. If you can see where you'd fit, tell us — a short, specific note about what you'd do here beats a polished CV for a role we haven't written yet.
We read everything. We reply to everything.

Apply
We read every application and reply either way.

Four roles.
One building.
2027.
If you have run a floor, filled a venue, or explained a component to someone who needed it — we would like to hear from you.
