Machine vision cameras
Area and line-scan cameras, GigE and USB3 Vision, global-shutter sensors and the lens and lighting to go with them. Sell the whole imaging chain, because that is what the customer actually has to get working.

Smart cameras and vision systems
Self-contained inspection cameras, code readers, and vision systems with onboard inference. The buyer is choosing your software as much as your optics, so bring the software.

Lidar and time-of-flight
Spinning and solid-state lidar, single-point and area ToF, and safety-rated scanners. Range figures at 10% reflectivity in sunlight, please, not the marketing number.

Depth and stereo cameras
Structured light, active stereo and event cameras for bin picking, navigation and human tracking. Point-cloud quality on a shiny black part is the test everyone runs and nobody publishes.

Rotary and linear encoders
Incremental and absolute, optical, magnetic and inductive, with BiSS, SSI or EnDat output. Resolution is easy; accuracy over temperature and immunity to a servo drive next door are not.

Force, torque and load
Six-axis force-torque sensors, load cells, strain gauges and reaction torque transducers. Crosstalk and drift specifications separate the real instruments from the rest.

Proximity and presence
Inductive, capacitive, magnetic and ultrasonic proximity sensors, photoelectric sensors and fibre-optic amplifiers. Highest unit volumes in the building; specify the housing and the connector and you will be found.

Temperature and thermal
Thermocouples, RTDs, thermistors, infrared spot sensors and thermal camera cores. Both the cheap ones by the thousand and the calibrated ones by the dozen are welcome.

Pressure, flow and level
Pressure transmitters, differential and vacuum sensors, mass-flow controllers, flow meters and level probes. Media compatibility and the process connection decide the sale.

Environmental and gas
Humidity, particulate, CO2, VOC and electrochemical gas sensors, plus the modules built around them. Cross-sensitivity and drift over a two-year deployment are the honest conversation.

Current and voltage sensing
Hall-effect and fluxgate current sensors, shunt-based modules, Rogowski coils and isolated voltage sensing for inverters and battery packs. Bandwidth and isolation rating together, never one without the other.

Safety sensing
Light curtains, safety laser scanners, safety mats, interlock switches and two-hand controls, with the certificate for the exact SKU. Performance level, not a general claim.

Acoustic and ultrasonic
MEMS microphones, microphone arrays, ultrasonic transducers, hydrophones and vibration accelerometers. Condition monitoring is a growth market and most buyers are shopping cold.

Sensor interfaces and IO-Link
Signal conditioners, IO-Link masters, analogue front ends, isolation amplifiers and the distribution boxes that turn twenty sensors into one cable.

Sensing is the category where a live demo is worth most. If your application is accepted we will ask you to ship a working bench, not a display case: buyers should be able to wave their own part, target or workpiece in front of it.
